How to Compare PDFs?

In daily work, constantly revising PDF documents could make you feel tedious, especially when comparing the new version with the older one for differences. TechEDMentor Mac can help you compare text using Side-by-Side View and images using Compared by File Overlay.

Compare Files by Side-by-Side View:

1. Click Tools on the toolbar -> Compare -> Compare Side-by-Side;

2. Click + button to import another PDF file, set Page Range, and choose Compare text or Compare image, or both of them  -> Click Compare;

Tips: The changes will be marked by highlight bars. You can customize the color of the highlights by clicking Settings.

3. You will notice the differences highlighted with colors. Save as Old Document or New Document or Merge into a New File.

Tips:

Save as an Old Document: Export the old file and mark the difference between the old and new files;

Save as a New Document: Export the new file and mark the difference between the old and new files;

Save as Another New Document: The resulting pages of two PDFs will be cross-exported into a new PDF document.

Compare Files by File Overlay:

1. Click Tools on the toolbar -> Compare -> Compare by Overlay;

2. Click + button to import another PDF file;

Tips: You can adjust the opacity, stroke color, and blend mode to improve the contrast effects through Settings

3. The differences will overlap with different colors. Tab Save to export the comparison result.
